Celebrate Life: Our Commitment Beyond Treatment
Supporting cancer patients and their families through awareness, community, and hope.
About Celebrate Life
Celebrate Life is a Delhi-based NGO founded by Dr. Deepika Krishna, with the support of Cancer Healer Center, dedicated to the welfare of cancer patients since its inception.
The idea came from a simple, deeply felt observation: a cancer diagnosis does not just affect the body, it changes a patient's entire outlook on life, often turning into a story of sadness and despair. Dr. Deepika Krishna, moved by the suffering she witnessed across patients of every age, from young children to the elderly, created Celebrate Life to help shift that mindset.

The Belief Behind It
A cancer diagnosis is not the end of the world. With optimism and the right support, even the hardest battles become easier to face.
Dr. Deepika Krishna believes that mental and emotional upliftment matters just as much as physical treatment, not only for the patient, but for their family and loved ones too. Celebrate Life was built around that belief: to help patients and families hold on to hope, and to make the most of every moment, because once it passes, it does not come back.

What We Do
Celebrate Life has organised a range of initiatives to support cancer patients and raise awareness, including:
Health camps offering screening and guidance to communities.
Cancer awareness sessions at organisations and institutions, helping people recognise common symptoms and understand the importance of early screening.
Community events designed to lift spirits and keep hope alive for patients who have already been diagnosed.

Moments Worth Celebrating
Dr. Deepika Krishna continues to lead Celebrate Life with the same energy and warmth that started it, working to raise awareness about cancer while reminding every patient and family that a diagnosis is not the end of their story.
Awareness is Better Than Cure
This was the very first Celebrate Life event, hosted by Dr. Deepika Krishna and Dr. Tarang Krishna around a simple idea: awareness, not fear, is the best defence against cancer. The evening included an open Q&A where Dr. Tarang Krishna answered the audience's questions about cancer, and was graced by Sharmila Tagore and Soha Ali Khan as guests of honour, along with several other well-known personalities from film and fashion. Dr. Deepika Krishna spoke about how, amid all the occasions we celebrate through the year, we rarely pause to celebrate life itself, which became the founding spirit of the initiative.
Mother's Day Celebration
Hosted by Dr. Deepika Krishna in collaboration with fashion designer Preeti Ghai, this event combined a fashion showcase with a heartfelt Mother's Day tribute and breast cancer awareness drive. It was attended by Shabana Azmi, Mandira Bedi, Poonam Dhillon, and several other notable guests. The highlight of the evening was the felicitation of women who had battled cancer with courage, each presented an I Am the Power trophy by Dr. Deepika Krishna, honouring their resilience and the bonds of support that carried them through.
The Lavender Ribbon Fiesta
A fundraiser held under the Celebrate Life umbrella, bringing together the fashion and art communities to raise both awareness and funds for underprivileged cancer patients. Designers Joy Mitra, Nikhita Tandon, and Nitya Bajaj showcased their collections, paired with jewellery from Shri Hari Diagems, followed by a silent auction of pieces from renowned designers and international labels. Celebrities including Ameesha Patel, Sonal Chauhan, and Hussain Kuwajerwala walked in support of the cause, while Dr. Tarang Krishna and motivational speaker Shiv Khera spoke about finding strength and purpose through a life-altering illness.
Art Uncorked: Wine & Paint Event
A breast cancer awareness evening that opened with remarks from Dr. Deepika Krishna, followed by a guided painting session led by artist Megha Madan. Pooja Bahri spoke on the healing power of art, and life coach Raman Lamba shared her perspective on facing breast cancer. The Cancer Healer Center medical team closed the session with a discussion on symptoms, risk factors, and prevention, as guests painted their own interpretations of the evening's message, glass of wine in hand, in support of the cause.
Cancer Awareness Event
An international gathering that brought together 14 dignitaries from 9 countries to discuss cancer awareness with Dr. Deepika Krishna and Dr. Tarang Krishna. Dr. Deepika spoke about the role nutrition and lifestyle play in cancer prevention, while Dr. Tarang shared his vision for a future where cancer is met with far less fear, and where treatment decisions come from knowledge rather than panic. A dignitary from Nigeria who attended spoke about the impact of the couple's continued efforts to spread cancer awareness globally.
The General Sparrow Cup: Polo Match
An unconventional but memorable way to spread cancer awareness: a polo match organised by Dr. Tarang Krishna and Dr. Deepika Krishna. Beyond the display of skill and energy on the field, the event carried a simple message: the same focus, discipline, and positive spirit that wins a match can help patients and families face and overcome cancer. Winners were presented with the Cancer Healer Center trophy by Dr. Tarang and Dr. Deepika Krishna.
