Celebrate Life is an NGO (non-governmental organization) based in Delhi founded by Dr Deepica Krishna with the support of Cancer Healer Center. It has been working for the welfare of the cancer patients since its inception. The brain behind celebrate life, Dr Deepica Krishna is was greatly moved by the suffering that the cancer patients go through. She saw men, women, and young as well old and even children suffering from this lethal disease. Once diagnosed, cancer changes a patient’s life completely. Cancer becomes a sentence of sadness and despair for the patients. She came up with the concept of Celebrate Life in order to change this mindset.
Dr Deepica is of the view that a cancer diagnosis is not the end of the world. If we are optimistic and positive, then there is nothing in this world that cannot be conquered, let alone cancer. When we are suffering physically, a mental upliftment can do wonders. A positive approach is not just required for the patient but also for the near and dear ones of the patient. We should live our life to the fullest; enjoy each moment of it because once the moment passes it never comes back.
Various events have been organized under the umbrella of Celebrate Life so far. It has also been involved in various health camps and cancer awareness sessions at various organizations so that people become more aware of the common symptoms of cancer and recognize the importance of early screening in cancer. With these events Dr Deepica aims to raise awareness about cancer and also keep up the spirits of those who have encountered this disease. Being a lively and jovial person herself, Dr Deepica has been able to impact many lives for the better and wishes to continue with her pursuit.
