You spend several hours in the office in front of your computer screen. You come home and plonk on your sofa in front of the Television to entertain yourself. And, finally, when you feel tired you go to sleep. So, where is the physical exercise in your daily routine? The monotony of sitting may bring you closer to the risk of cancers such as ovarian and colorectal. Here are some tips to cut down long sitting.
1. Choose an active relaxing activity: Who says only sitting make you relax? Go for a walk, do some gardening, take your pet for a walk, etc. You will sure feel relaxation and the activity will burn extra calories too.
2. Cut down sitting time at work: Stand up after every hour from your desk and take a short walk in your office premises or around your desk. Stand during meetings or have a walking meeting to burn some fat and calories in office.
3. Cut your television time too: Don’t plonk in front of the television just after having your lunch or dinner. Go for a walk just after your eat. Even doing dishes is counted under physical exercise.
4. Cycle your way to good health: In case, your workplace is near to your home then pedal your way to your office. Cycling will bestow your body with lot many health benefits to fight against various types of cancer.
5. Regular Exercise: Cutting your sitting time is essential. But in case you just can’t sneak a way of doing it, then make sure to inculcate exercise in your daily routine.
