Diagnosed With Cancer? Things To Do To Deal With a Cancer Diagnosis
‘Cancer is formidable and adversary, but the most powerful weapon we have is the love and support from family and friends’
Around 1 in 3 of us have the chances of developing cancer in our lifetime. Life changes abruptly and intensely after the diagnosis of cancer. So how do we cope up if we come across this situation? The moment between the diagnosis and treatment of the cancer can be very tough for a person combating with cancer. But several means are available to help you with every step of the way. Cancer Healer is one of the ways to help you start with a new journey.
Here is a list of things that can help you manage your life after the cancer diagnosis:
Look after yourself: Take a deep breath and go easy on yourself. Remember this is not the end, it is just the beginning of a new phase. Pamper yourself, eat healthy, get some relaxing exercise like Yoga/ swimming and get a good sleep. Also make sure you avoid drinking too much alcohol as that can lead to depression.
Work on your emotions: If you feel depressed, cheer yourself- take help from your friends and family, consult your Doctor. As depression can lead to loss of appetite, feeling of tiredness and that life is not worth living.Talking to your dear ones can always help lessen your load.
Update yourself about the diagnosis: Learn more about the type of cancer, its location, spread and the stage. Also the details about the treatment, its side effects and its success rate.
Second opinion: It is always sensible to take a second opinion. But make sure you don’t waste time consulting different Doctors if their opinions are similar as this can waste the treatment time.
Treatment: Many of the cancer treatments, though successful have many side effects like Chemotherapy and radiation therapy causes hair loss, loss of appetite, damage to normal cells etc.
We at Cancer Healer Center use Immunotherapy- that enhances the body’s immune system to fight against cancer. This therapy has no side effect and is very successful if the cancer is detected in the early stage.
Last but not the least;
Stay positive: It is difficult to stay positive in this situation, but trying to be positive can help you cope up with this situation. Encourage and keep motivating yourself.
Remember Cancer is just a disease and you can get over it!
