What is Basal Cell Carcinoma?
Basal Cell Carcinoma, commonly known as Basal Cell Cancer, is a very common type of skin cancer often found in the areas exposed to the sun, like face, ear, neck, lips, and the backs of the hands. This type of cancer starts from the lowest layer of the epidermis in the basal cells. This cancer may even grow so fast that it can’t be imagined, or it may be possible that grow very slowly.
Is it curable? If yes, what are the treatments?
Basal Cell Cancer is very common and is usually curable, if found and treated early. Avoid tanning beds and sun lamps as they can be dangerous and damage your skin.
Given above, we can say that even if basal cell cancer is often a curable disease, it’s definitely not that easy to get rid of and can be really painful. Always remember that prevention is better than cure. So try to avoid the risk factors and stay safe!!
